27-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident near Castle Butte Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 9, 2021) – Early Friday morning, 27-year-old Benly Nic Nanthavong was killed in a collision on Highway 58.

The crash occurred just before 2:45 a.m., on the westbound lanes near Castle Butte Road, reports said. Emergency responders arrived to the scene shortly after.

At this time, the events leading up to the accident remain unclear. However, the crash involved two vehicles.

In addition, reports indicate that one victim was trapped inside. They were later identified as Benly Nic Nanthavong, of Stockton. Due to the extent of his condition, medics pronounced him dead at the crash site.

The surrounding area was closed for a brief time, but has since reopened.

An active investigation to determine further details is still currently underway.
