41-Year-Old Dies in 2-Vehicle Collision on Tropicana Rose Avenue

HESPERIA, CA (March 30, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, a head-on crash on Ranchero Road claimed the life of Bengamin Garcia.

The crash happened around 12:44 a.m. along the 14100 block on Ranchero Road, between Topaz Avenue and Tropicana Rose Avenue.

Furthermore, investigators said the crash involved a Nissan SUV and a Chevy pickup truck, and both vehicles sustained extensive front-end damage.

Eventually, San Bernardino County Fire arrived at the scene and reported a total of two victims and a third person requiring extraction.

The male victim trapped inside the truck died at the scene while paramedics transported the second occupant from the truck to a local hospital. The San Bernardino County Coroner’s office identified the deceased man as 41-year-old Garcia, of Hesperia.

Meanwhile, medical personnel transported the SUV driver via ambulance for further treatment. The other victim was airlifted by Mercy 22 to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Hesperia closed Ranchero Road between Topaz Avenue and Maple Avenue in both directions while they investigated.
