Friends of the 15-year-old girl who died after attending a rave in Exposition Park last weekend planned two bake sales, including one Friday, to help pay for her funeral, a family fried told the Weekly.

Sasha Rodriquez died on Tuesday after she attended the two-day Electric Daisy Carnival at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and became unresponsive at a hospital. Drug intoxication was expected, but the cause of death won't be known until an autopsy is completed.

Friday's bake sale was scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Another was set to happen from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. They're both to be held in Silver Lake at Allesandro Elementary School, 2210 Riverside Dr.

Rodriguez' death and unruly conditions at the dance party prompted Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and county Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky to question why such an event was held at a public venue. A temporary ban on raves at the coliseum has been instituted.
