Woman Pronounced Dead after Rollover Collision on Las Vegas Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (January 24, 2022) – 19-year-old Beleca Genesis Jones was killed Tuesday afternoon, in a rollover crash on Walnut Road.

According to reports, the collision occurred just after 12:00 p.m., on the Walnut Road and Las Vegas Boulevard intersection.

Authorities said 22-year-old Michael Garcia was driving a 2004 Toyota Corolla south on Las Vegas Boulevard, with Jones as their passenger.

For reasons unknown, Garcia drove onto a rock median and flipped over. Amidst the chaos, the Toyota also skidded into an approaching Kia Soul.

As a result, Jones was pronounced dead on scene due to the extent of her injuries.

Meanwhile, no signs of impairment were shown by Garcia. In addition, paramedics rushed the driver of the Kia to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash are still under active investigation.
