If you live in Los Angeles, you’re either in the production world or have friends who are. A long-time production friend, cameraman Ryan “Kron” Thompson, contacted me and told me he was going to shoot a music video for Doomtree — one of Minneapolis’ biggest hip hop groups — in Southern California. “Awesome! What's the budget?” I ask, and he interjects “We already went through it on travel and props, mainly the inflatables. Do you know anything about some old zoo?” Here's a look at how the shoot turned out. All photos by Tom Colvin.
