While L.A. expat Shlohmo (aka Henry Laufer) is stranded in the post-apocalyptic wastelands of San Francisco* crafting his debut album (as if Low End Theory adherents weren't already familiar with his brand of bass-quaking, hazy-bedroom beat music), he apparently got a few seconds away to whip up a remix of Toro Y Moi's “Fax Shadow.” It's a lurching, blissed out minimal headnodder, you know, just like the ones your mama used to make.

Laufer is really onto something, so we wanted to give you a taste of his Toro Y Moi remix and a hearty helping of other jams in what can only be deem a Shlohmosplosion.

Enjoy:

And just cause you're so nice, here's a sweet Gonjasufi remix too!

*Ok, so San Francisco isn't a post apocalyptic wasteland at all. It's actually really, really nice. I'm just jealous, and I could really go for a cup of Blue Bottle Coffee right now. Yum. By the way, anyone know why Nor Cal folks hate L.A. so much? I mean, we really like them, right? Whenever they come to town we listen to them say the same gripes: “Traffic, no public transportation, city's so big, Angelenos are hella dickish.” It's the same 5 minute conversation all L.A. visitors spout while we have to nod our heads and be polite as they hate on the city we love. WTF? We don't hate on them. In fact, we love SF, so what's up with that? Can't we all just get a bong?
