After Thanksgiving the real feast begins on the dance floor, with multiple courses of post-holiday happenings that’ll make you thankful. With good peeps and hot funky sounds, the summertime Sunday DJ jam known as The Do-Over was the best way to end (and extend) the weekend. Though its season has passed, there’s one last party to pluck: the annual post–Turkey Day bash known as The Left Over. Can’t tell ya who’ll be spinning, but this groovalicous gathering is all about surprise guests (of the highest caliber), so prepare to banish that food coma in freaky style. Crane’s, 1611 El Centro St., Hlywd. www.the doover.net. The electronic music love-in known for capturing the “soul of the dance floor,” Compression marks its 3-year anniversary with a beat-packed bash, featuring Funk D’Void (Soma Quality, Glasgow), Misstress Barbara (Canada), Andre Ezer, Matt Xavier, and host Robtronik. Dynamic and diverse electronic mixers as always. Cinespace, 6356 Hollywood Blvd., Hlywd., www.compressionla.com. “Classic house, electro house and everything in between” is on the menu at House, the new hip-kid hump-fest from 1107 Events debuting this week. With local faves Paparazzi (returning to his old stomping grounds; he used to DJ Moscow on Wednesdays), Reid Speed and Joaquin, we expect some real spaz n’ pizzazz on the decks. Boardner’s, 1652 N. Cherokee, Hlywd., www.myspace.com/clubhousela. And finally, deep-fried bird and canned-cranberry types should haul their cut-offs over to Miss Kitty’s White Trash Ball. The dress code is “trailer park, redneck and headbanger,” so it’s the perfect place to shamelessly rock that stuffed belly. Dragonfly, 6510 Santa Monica Blvd., www.misskittysparlour.com. All clubs above, Fri., Nov. 28.
