So you have a lot of things to be thankful for? A job, maybe? The fact that pot is still at least halfway legal in California? A mild winter that will probably see some nice beach days (we know, it's been crappy lately).

Be thankful your ass isn't in an LAPD drunk tank, too. Just to be sure, we have your handy-dandy LA Weekly DUI checkpoint tip sheet for the holiday weekend.

Here are the places you don't want to be after sipping granny's special cranberry punch:

-Friday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m: Ventura Boulevard between Densmore and Haskell avenues in Encino.

-Saturday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m: South Figueroa Street between 48th and 49th streets in South L.A. (The LAPD states that if it rains this one will move under the 110 freeway overpass on nearby Manchester Boulevard. 'Cause officers can't be getting' wet while they're busting you).

-Sunday from noon to 8 p.m: A DUI “saturation patrol” will happen in the LAPD”s Harbor area (which includes San Pedro, Wilmington and Harbor Gateway).
