At this time of year, if you hear the words, “If you build it, he will come,” you might guess that the reference is to Jesus. But if you're film-savvy, you'll recognize it as a line whispered to Kevin Costner's character in Field of Dreams. The film brought tears to many a baseball fan's eyes — as well as those who get all worked up about father-son relationships — so if you're a pushover for either, attend Dreams' 20th-anniversary screening at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater. Los Angeles Times film critic Kenneth Turan plays host to a panel discussion with stars Kevin Costner and Timothy Busfield, writer-director Phil Robinson, producers Chuck Gordon and Lawrence Gordon, production designer Dennis Gassner, and cinematographer John Lindley. Make the most of it: Go with Dad.
