After seven years, the Hollywood Boulevard danceteria called Bang! is still busting at the seams with 18-and-over indie-music-lovin’ babes. Though its location is an entirely different animal these days (the cool kids must contend with even more Saturday-night traffic and velvet-rope-bound riffraff), that hasn’t kept crowds away. Thanks to the music chops of megapromoters Joseph Brooks, Jason Lavitt, Shalyce Benfell and Piper Ferguson (who collectively have put on too many raging parties to count at this point), Bang! is the place where the skinny-jeaned and sheared-headed come to pose both on the floor and on the stage. Seriously, we could watch these sweaty, shaggy, sexy young thangs boogie and prance for hours — and they do, thanks to lively mixes of Britpop, electro, new wave and mashups in three different rooms. DJ Paparazzi (from fellow fave Club Moscow) guest deejays for the bash. The Ruby, 7070 Hollywood Blvd., Hlywd.; Sat., Jan. 13, 10 p.m.-2 a.m.; over 18; full bar with ID; $13 at the door, $5 before 10:30 p.m. with Web site pass. www.clubbang.net.
