When the S.F. Giants' Barry Bonds hit his 73rd home run in 2001, he broke the single-season Major League record. He also set off a legal firestorm for the two guys who each claimed to have caught the ball. Writer-director Michael Wranovics's 2004 documentary, Up for Grabs , takes a wry look at the courtroom drama that ensued, pitting the man in whose glove the ball first landed, one Alex Popov, against the ballpark melee victor, Japanese-American Patrick Hayashi. The filmmakers are set to be in attendance for a Q&A following the screening.
