Upon first glance, it is clear that the Co-Founder of Wayo Ventures, Amy Wang, is more than just an inspiring delegate for this year’s Mrs. Asia USA pageant; she embodies the essence of modern grace and philanthropy. With a dynamic career that spans technology, charity, and real estate, it’s obvious that her life is like a tapestry—full of colorful, meaningful endeavors and globe-trotting adventures.
Yet, behind the scenes, we learned that she is also a dedicated mother who juggles her professional and personal passions and purpose in life—demonstrating how women can achieve a self-guided integration of work and life.

However, having leaped into the corporate world, and gained global recognition and entrepreneurial success, never would Amy Wang have imagined that her life would change during a local philanthropic event.
While volunteering at a charity event in San Jose, California, “the President of the Mrs. Asia USA Virgelia Productions pageant became interested in having me join as the Mrs. Taiwan delegate,” she says. “It was surprising because my background is more in technology and real estate investments. Beauty pageants weren’t really on my radar.”
“But the chance to represent Asian American women and the Taiwanese people, as well as have a bigger platform for the philanthropic work I’m doing felt like it was meant to be. The timing was also impeccable, as far as how things were lining up this Year of the Dragon.”
Amy Wang, born in the Year of the Dragon, started this year with a strong sense of purpose, marking it as a transformational one. It clearly has been.
Fueled by her desire and fire to inspire and empower others, Amy Wang’s commitment to her community is just one cornerstone of her identity. Thanks to her new platform with Mrs. Asia USA, the many chapters on her path have since amplified her voice and allowed Wang to advocate for the causes close at heart.
“It wasn’t all about the outer beauty for me; it’s more about what you bring from inside outward that demonstrates one’s beauty,” she explains. “In addition to the poise and elegance, there’s a tremendous significance in this process for my personal growth, with a chance to express it to the world in a way that brings about more goodness. The connections you make through this experience can lead to numerous future opportunities to extend your impact.”
From helping people achieve financial freedom to living with a heart for giving, the multifaceted Dragon Hearts Foundation founder’s lifestyle extends far beyond the glitz of the pageant stage.
In fact, the journey of the Taiwanese native first took shape in a different realm—one that was of a stellar technology background.
With a track record of successfully launching innovative products and leading cross-functional teams at top tech companies, her wealth of experience driving company strategies is impressive. Some of the teams she led included those at Cisco, Adobe, Oracle, HP, Ingram Micro, and Yahoo.
Amy Wang’s lifestyle exemplifies a true masterclass of how one can align goals and passion with a greater purpose. Even though she is taking multiple paths in her life, she has found a way to have them coexist harmoniously to create meaningful change.
“I always push myself to do greater and bigger things – it’s just who I am,” smiles Wang. “Because I’ve designed this life for myself {whereas before I was working for a corporation}, I am now in the driver’s seat regarding how I want to spend my time.”
Honestly, “Though some days can be tough, I don’t feel like it is work. My passions are all integrated. From morning to night, these three, four, or five things I’m doing are part of my purpose, making it much easier to move forward and be motivated. I feel like there is a lot of meaning behind the efforts.”

Besides powering through with purpose-driven dreams, many wonder where in the world she is. Sifting through her recent travel catalog, adorned with memories of Taiwan, California, and more, the star is currently working and spending time in New York—the city of dreams—surrounded by family and loved ones.
Mrs. Taiwan USA 2024, Amy Wang intends to continue focusing on charitable objectives and promoting cultural pride by bolstering women’s education and business endeavors. Having recently launched her Dragon Hearts Foundation, its efforts have already been “set up to support women, youth, and people of color to step into their power and see how their dreams can come true.”
To do this, Wang has created a new college scholarship program where funds will be provided for young Asian women looking to excel and thrive in areas more commonly underrepresented.
As a result, “opportunities will be made available to economically challenged Asian college students, women who are pursuing majors in STEM and business,” says Wang. “I would love to be able to rally everyone behind this mission to contribute to help our next generation.”
