Bad Betty Brings Retro Burlesque to Harvelle's

Retro bad-girl revue “Bad Betty” drove into Santa Monica on Thursday night, transporting the audience back to the good old days with fast cars, fast women, a smoke-filled room and bourbon-soaked floors at Harvelle's in Santa Monica.
The Dollhouse Entertainment–produced show features lead singer Jessie Payo and her backing band, The Bad Thing, plus dancers Miss Dakota, Miss Marquez and Charlotte Chau-Pech, all guided by the music of Johnny Stachela, Sebastian Ciceri and Kiel Feher.
As the Dollhouse website puts it: “Bad Betty will drive you off-road to make-out point, where the guitar smokes like a post-romp cigarette, and the girls got legs like switchblades.”
