Of all the important dates in the Back to the Future trilogy perhaps no other is more crucial — except for the day that the Flux Capacitor was invented — than Nov. 12, 1955. It's the night of the infamous Hill Valley thunderstorm that stopped the clock in the town square's historic clock tower. It's also the same evening that wild-eyed scientist Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) sent 1980s teenager Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) back to the future. However, before a bolt of lightening would strike the clock tower at exactly 10:04 p.m. propelling our hero back to 1985, Marty must set things right with his parents at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance.

To celebrate the anniversary of the film's maritime-themed adolescent ritual, Back to the Future fans showed up at Resident in downtown L.A. on Sunday, Nov. 12, dressed to the nines in their best 1950s attire and in spot-on costumes of the film's beloved characters. A portion of the proceeds from the evening were donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
