Well, times may still be tight, but the event — celebrating Asian culture and timed to coincide with the annual blooming of the lotus flowers on Echo Park Lake — is back on this year. Representatives from across the gamut of Asian and Pacific Islander culture will be on hand, with a particular highlight this year on the people of China; artisans and boutiques will sell their wares in the Flower Pavilion, accompanied by music and dance presentations, a health fair, community outreach area and food and beverages from local Asian eateries.
