Topanga or not Topanga? It's the 39th year for the tie-dyed, groovy gathering that is Topanga Days. Topanga Canyon may not be the hippie haven it used to be, but that doesn't stop its residents from breaking out the incense and Hula Hoops for three days of bands, beer, Hacky Sacking and arts & crap. The canyon setting is ideal (the parking not so much), and the high-flying freak-flag parade on Monday morning is a tradition not to be missed. The Young Dubliners, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, Fishbone, Chevy Metal, Pato Banton, the Paul Chesne Band and loads more bands of the ilk that make you want to paint your face and dance barefoot are on the bill. Adding to the old-timeyness between acts are corny games like an egg toss and sack race and even a baby derby, which may send you into an overdose of cuteness and sunburn. 1440 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd., Topanga; Sat.-Mon., May 26-28; $20, $15 military; $10 children & seniors; children under 5 free. (310) 455-1980.
