Two Killed in Freight-Truck Collision near De Wolf Avenue
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (December 15, 2022) – Saturday, Ayla Gonzales and Ray Rodarte were killed in a semi-truck accident on East North Avenue.
The fatal incident happened just after 1:30 p.m., at the intersection of East North and De Wolf Avenue.
Per reports, the driver of a Nissan Altima pulled out in front of an eastbound freight truck on East North, causing a collision.
The two occupants of the Altima sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff’s office later identified the deceased victims as Gonzales and Rodarte, both 24 years old.
Meanwhile, the driver of the freight truck escaped the crash unharmed. Investigators said the truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Additionally, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
At this time, Fresno County Officials continue to investigate the fatal accident.
