Richard Dunn of Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! died this morning at 7:14 a.m. Both Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim announced the news earlier today via Twitter.

Easily recognizable for his large, red glass, Dunn appeared in numerous sketches on Awesome Show, Great Job!, which just finished its fifth season. Oftentimes, he appeared in sketches revolving around TV shows bearing his name, such as “Dunngeon,” “Gettin' It Dunn” and “Dunn-prov.” Heidecker and Wareheim made the following statement through Adult Swim's Facebook page.

“We are deeply saddened to announce that our friend Richard Dunn passed away this morning. Richard was an irreplaceable member of our family and he will be greatly missed as a brilliant comic actor and a great friend.”

Last January, Dunn appeared alongside Heidecker, Wareheim and John C. Reilly at the “For Your Haiti!” benefit event at Cinefamily. Dunn moderated a Q/A panel, wherein he had to relate audience questions to the panel.
