29-Year-Old Rialto Man Dies in Fatal Collision near 605 Freeway

NORWALK, CA (October 1, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, 29-year-old Austin Carey was killed in a two-car crash on 105 Freeway.

Authorities responded to the scene around 1:48 p.m., near the 605 Freeway. However, the events leading up to the crash remain unknown.

Reports indicate that two vehicles were involved in the accident. Although, the circumstances surrounding the collision have not been released.

Officers say that Carey succumbed to his injuries at the scene, due to the extent of his condition.

The surrounding area on 105 Freeway was closed during cleanup and preliminary duties. But, the road has since reopened to traffic.

No further details have been given at this time. An active investigation is still currently underway.
