Fatal Vehicle Crash on 60 Freeway Prompted Road Closures

CHINO, CA (December 2, 2021) – At least one person was confirmed dead after a crash on 60 Freeway early Monday morning.

California Highway Patrol said the two-vehicle collision was reported shortly before 2:30 a.m. near Mountain Avenue.

Due to the impact of the crash and injuries sustained, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Moreover, authorities have yet to release the identity of the deceased.

Meanwhile, the crash prompted closure of 60 Freeway’s westbound lanes.

The closure of the westbound Freeway lasted for about three hours, until two lanes were reopened. Traffic remain backed-up as the morning commute got underway. All lanes were reopened shortly after 7 a.m.

No further details regarding the fatal crash have been made public at this time; however, more information will be provided once made available.
