61-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized after Head-On Collision on Cohasset Road

CHICO, CA (September 10, 2021) – A 61-year-old woman sustained injuries Wednesday morning after a head-on collision on Cohasset Road in Chico.

The incident took place just around 8:00 a.m. of September 8, on Cohasset Road just south of the Chico Airport.

As per CHP, a white Subaru traveling southbound swerved into oncoming traffic due to “steering problems” and collided with a blue Nissan Pathfinder.

Responding emergency crews rushed the 61-year-old driver of the Nissan to Enloe Medical Center for treatment after she sustained a broken bone on her lower leg.

Officers discovered the 42-year-old Subaru driver and a passenger that sustained minor injuries, both were transported to the hospital.

Chico Police believe that alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash at this time, however an active investigation is underway.
