Big Rig Crash on 215 Freeway Left One Hurt

RIVERSIDE, CA (March 18, 2022) – Wednesday morning a vehicle accident on Interstate 215 left at least one person hurt, authorities said.

California Highway Patrol said the crash happened at about 10:00 a.m. along Interstate 215.

Furthermore, authorities said a tractor-trailer overturned and struck an Audi, as well as two SUVs.

Riverside Fire Department crews reached the location within a few minutes and discovered one motorist with unspecified injuries.

Moreover, the accident blocked all southbound lanes.

As of 10:30 a.m., CHP officers managed to open up the slow lane, but the other three southbound lanes remained closed.

The CHP estimated that the lane closures would remain in effect until at least noon.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
