The absentee votes are in, and the race to represent voters of Assembly District 49 in the San Gabriel Valley is neck and neck.
According to the California Secretary of State, absentee and early returns show Lin leading Chau by a margin of 52.1% to 47.9% with about 20,000 votes counted so far.
