Driver Arrested after Wrong-Way DUI Crash near East Siverly Lane

CLOVIS, CA (June 20, 2022) – Sunday, Ashton McKiearnan was killed and Narayana Zerr was arrested after a head-on accident on Ashlan Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene just before 7:00 p.m., near the intersection of Ashlan Avenue and East Siverly Lane.

Per reports, Zerr was driving a black truck east on Ashlan and eventually struck a Nissan sedan head-on. Upon impact, the Nissan driver suffered life-threatening injuries.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced the male driver of the sedan, 41-year-old McKiearnan, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, his wife and two children suffered from various injuries.

In addition, officers took 35-year-old Zerr into custody at the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of drunk driving. Once available, further details will be provided.
