Three Killed in Fiery DUI Collision on Valley Boulevard

RIALTO, CA (August 5, 2022) – Monday night,  Ashley Gilroy, Marlee Maldonado, and Paul Larios died in an 8-vehicle crash on Riverside Avenue.

The incident happened on August 1st, at around 6:30 p.m., near the intersection of Valley Boulevard and Riverside Avenue.

According to reports, Larios was speeding in a black Jeep on Valley Boulevard when his vehicle side-swiped a Chevrolet Silverado.

After the initial impact, Larios continued driving the Jeep down the road before striking the rear of Kia Sorento. Due to the Jeep’s high rate of speed, the Kia was pushed into a Honda causing a chain-reaction collision with four other vehicles.

Amidst the chaos, the Kia and the Honda became engulfed in flames. Emergency crews arrived and extinguished the fire.

Meanwhile, medics pronounced 35-year-old Larios, 33-year-old Gilroy, and her 8-year-old daughter, Maldonado dead at the scene.

Following preliminary investigations, alcohol is believed to be the factor in the crash.

The family of Gilroy and Maldonado has set up a GoFundMe to support the costs of their memorial.
