Thieves in Woodland Hills broke into a pretty nice ride, a GMC Yukon, and took three bags. Sounds promising if you're a street cretin.

Big problem, though, as one of the bags contained the cremated remains of a loved one.

Now cops citywide are looking for these dumb asses suspects.

It happened between 6:45 and 9:40 p.m. Monday in the Westfield Promenade at Woodland Hills parking lot near Owensmouth Avenue and Erwin Street, according to the LAPD.

The loot included two pieces of luggage and a carry-on bag, according to a police statement. That bag contained a box that had a loved one's ashes in it.

Relatives had planned to fly to the East Coast this week to spread the ashes, cops, said.

Strangely, yesterday at 3 p.m. someone contacted family members to say the luggage had been found … except for the carry-on with the ashes.

That bag is said to be black with a “St. John” logo on it.
