A fine pianist and singer as well, Sandoval has offered his many talents in various jazz, pop and classical musical spheres, and to much acclaim, including multiple Grammys; an Emmy for his composing work on For Love or Country, the HBO movie based on his life; and the 2013 Presidential Medal of Freedom.
