Fresno Hit-and-Run Driver Arrested after Carjacking

FRESNO, CA (December 28, 2021) – Police arrested Arturo Sanchez after carjacking a father with two children near Clinton Avenue.

According to reports, the suspect was speeding and driving erratically before the collision near Clinton Avenue and Clark Street.

Eventually, the police attempted to pull him over but the suspect sped away and struck two vehicles. Ultimately, the suspect crashed into a light post near Blackstone and McKinley.

The suspect then jumped into a white SUV with a family of four inside, including 8-year-old twin girls.

In the end, authorities arrested 25-year-old Arturo Sanchez for carjacking. Additionally, they charged him for DUI and other related charges.

Moreover, paramedics transferred Sanchez to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries before booking him into jail. Police say that at least one of the cars he hit was driven by a social worker taking Christmas presents to needy families.
