Co-Founder and CEO of Innovo Management, Sam Saideman, has quickly solidified his place as a thought leader within the creator economy. Sam has created, implemented, and managed budgets for marketing campaigns on projects that include notable artists like Mario, Cherub, Method Man, Derek Hough, CeeLo Green, and many more. In 2015, 2016, and 2019, the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and Nashville Entrepreneur Center nominated Sam for Young Entrepreneur of the Year, following awards and recognition from President Barack Obama and Nashville Mayor David Briley for his work in the community and execution of impactful benefit concerts.

There’s no doubting his success; what we’re interested in is his path to it. As a three time college dropout and immigrant to America, Sam has had to operate from a hustle mentality since he was young. Originally making Hip Hop music, Sam’s introduction to the US in NY prompted a passion for rap and the way it always felt bigger than the music itself. Fashion, art, dance and culture surround the Hip Hop genre and Sam wanted to be a part of that. But after signing a deal that went sour during his late teens, he quickly lost his love for making music and came to the realization that he might be more passionate about protecting other artists from having to go through the struggles that he experienced.

Having been an artist equipped Sam with the ability to see things from both the musicians perspective as well as the managers. By leading with empathy, he is able to approach certain situations through a very valuable lens that has brought his artists and his company great success over the past few years. While his journey has been anything but conventional, it has been rewarding. When asked what one of the biggest challenges he faces as a manager is, Sam responded “Not every artist is a business person, hence why I ended up on the business side. But not all artists can see things from a practical business standpoint and rather, they lead with emotions and passion (while sometimes it is great!) can also often lead to less resolutions and more issues.” On the flip side he says “I love it when clients get that and let me handle everything. Teamwork makes the dream work!”.

Coming to America as an immigrant from London, Sam’s background made him hungry to succeed. Knowing what his family sacrificed in order to give him and his siblings the opportunity to succeed still drives Sam to show up everyday and do his absolute best. His persistence and innovative spirit does not go unnoticed. Will we see Sam behind the mic again? Perhaps so! But for now, his talents are needed elsewhere as he and his company Co-Founder Ian Rodriguez continue to find creative ways to expand Innovo Management while always maintaining an ‘Artist-First’ mindset throughout.
