Vehicle Collision near Nash Street Left One Fatality

EL SEGUNDO, CA (May 9, 2022) – Sunday morning, Artemio Hernandez died in a multi-car crash on 105 Freeway, police said.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the three-vehicle accident happened on the eastbound side of 105 Freeway around 8:00 a.m.

Furthermore, the investigation revealed that a driver in a white Chevy Malibu struck the rear of an unoccupied Caltrans truck parked in the center divider.

Consequently, another vehicle became involved in the collision as well.

Eventually, the driver of the white sedan died at the scene who was identified as 42-year-old Artemio Hernandez.

The police have yet to provide additional details on any other victims.

California Highway Patrol officers issued a Sig Alert around 8:20 a.m. and closed the No. 1 and 2 lanes for the investigation.
