Two Teens Killed in Auto Accident near Thunderbird Road

PHOENIX, AZ (March 8, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, Aron Heeley and Payton Sharp were pronounced dead after a collision near 35th Avenue.

The incident took place just before 2:30 p.m., near the intersection of 35th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Per reports, Heeley was driving a red vehicle and sped into the intersection, eventually striking another vehicle. Upon impact, Heeley lost control of the vehicle and hit a nearby electrical pole and a brick wall.

Due to the extent of their condition, medical personnel pronounced both victims at the scene. Both teenagers were said to be 17-years-old.

Meanwhile, another man in the backseat was not seriously hurt. None of the occupants in the vehicle wore seatbelts from the time of the crash.

The incident resulted in a power line shutdown that caused a power outage to some areas. At this time, the crash is still under active investigation.
