53-Year-Old Man Killed in Semi-Truck Crash near Highway 145

KERMAN, CA (December 10, 2021) – 53-year-old Armando Flores Cruz lost his life Friday morning following a vehicle vs big-rig accident.

The incident occurred around 7:00 a.m., on Jensen Avenue near Highway 145. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.

According to reports, the driver of a big-rig pulled out of a driveway while Cruz was driving by in a van. Cruz was unable to stop in time, and collided with the semi-truck.

Medics pronounced Cruz dead at the scene, due to the extent of injuries sustained in the crash. Meanwhile, paramedics rushed three other occupants of the car to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

At this time, officials said that the foggy weather in their area may have contributed to the fatal crash. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
