Warning. May cause seizures and/or time portals. Ariel Pink's new video for “Round & Round” got the warped treatment from Flaming Lips frontman, Wayne Coyne, culminating in an eye-stabbingly psychedelic 5:49 seconds of WTF. Coyne shot the video with his iPhone while the two bands were on tour, further confirming Coyne's status as an avid Twitterist whose iPhone has (probably) grown into his hand like James Woods' flesh gun in Videodrome. Coyne enlisted Flaming Lips video guy George Salisbury to “noise it up” and the results are pretty interesting if you aren't prone to acid flash backs. Actually, it's probably more interesting with flash backs. Either way, Salisbury gives a little caveat about the vid: “MACROBLOCK HELL! Vimeo and YouTube can't really encode this kind of visual noise at their standard bit rates. Vimeo users try downloading the original file to see what it really looks like.” Too loud for the internet? Seems like something only Wayne Coyne could manage.

Anyway, here's the video and feel free to use it as your morning sobriety test. If this looks normal, you're still drunk.
