Reigning media queen Arianna Huffington come to Live Talks L.A. to discuss her latest book, THRIVE: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom and Wonder. The first two metrics? Money and power, which are both pretty great but, Huffington reports, temporary unless you also pursue and maintain your well-being and retain a sense of wonder and compassion. We'll have to take her word for it: Unlike the rest of us, the former Mrs. Michael Huffington already has the first two down. Born in Athens, this Greek goddess of click-bait journalism has been recognized as one of the most influential people by Time Magazine, made Forbes's list of most powerful women, led her staff to one of digital media's first Pulitzer Prizes for reporting and currently serves as the editor-in-chief of Huffington Post Media Group, where she keeps two nap rooms for her 850 employees (take note, slave drivers).
