95-Year-Old Woman Dead in Traffic Collision near Broadway Road

PHOENIX, AZ (March 8, 2023) – Sunday morning, a multi-car accident near 67th Avenue claimed the life of Arbutus Wood. According to Phoenix police, they responded to the area near 67th Avenue and Broadway Road involving three vehicles that collided. Investigation showed that a brown vehicle traveling on Broadway failed to yield at a red light and collided with a white vehicle traveling on 67th Avenue. Furthermore, the white vehicle was occupied by 95-year-old Wood and one other person. The two vehicles then were sent to the way of a pickup truck. Consequently, Wood and the other occupant were transported to the hospital with serious injuries where Wood later died. No arrests or citations have been made after the incident as the accident is still under investigation.
