69-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Road Rage Incident on Parise Drive

WHITTIER, CA (February 20, 2023) – Saturday, Antonio Acosta died and Jeffrey Flores was arrested after a road rage crash on Cullen Street.

Police responded to the scene around 3:00 p.m., at the 14700 block of Cullen Street near Parise Drive on February 11th.

Upon arrival, officers located a man down on the street. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced 69-year-old Acosta dead at the scene.

According to reports, Flores and Acosta were both driving north on Colima Road near Acaconda Street. For road rage suspected reasons, Acosta displayed a hand gun and was then followed by Flores.

Acosta then stopped and exited his vehicle before approaching Flores. In response, Flores intentionally struck Acosta.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 69-year-old Acosta dead at the scene. First responders also located a hand gun inside the deceased victim’s vehicle.

Following preliminary duties, officers arrested 29-year-old Flores under suspicion of homicide. Once available, further details will be provided.
