Driver Pronounced Dead after Collision on Riverside Street
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (May 17, 2022) – Thursday morning, 57-year-old Anthony Ramirez died in a bus crash on State Route 74.
The collision happened just west of Riverside Street around 6:32 a.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
According to reports, the driver of the 2009 Chevrolet HHR struck the side of the bus under unknown circumstances. In addition, medics had to extricate the Chevy driver from the vehicle.
Crews eventually transported Ramirez, of Lake Elsinore to Inland Valley Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, several other people on the bus received minor injuries and received treatment on scene.
No other details about the crash are available. However, an active investigation into the deadly collision is underway.
