40-Year-Old Hesperia Man Dead in Motorcycle Versus Pickup Truck Collision near Sultana Street
HESPERIA, CA (June 27, 2023) – Tuesday evening, a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Seventh Street claimed the life of Anthony R Huante. The crash happened around 7:56 p.m. at the intersection of 7th Street and Sultana Street. According to the investigators, a westbound red/white 2003 Honda off-road motorcycle failed to stop at a posted stop sign as it approached the intersection. Consequently, the Honda motorcycle broadsided a maroon 2014 Chevrolet Silverado traveling south on Seventh Avenue. The responding deputies and paramedics reported that the male motorcyclist sustained major injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics airlifted his female passenger to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Later, the coroner’s office identified the deceased male rider of the Honda as 40-year-old Anthony R Huante of Hesperia. The driver of the Chevrolet pickup did not sustain any injuries from the incident. At this time, it remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident. The Hesperia Major Accident Investigation Team closed the roadway for several hours to investigate.
