14-Year-Old Boy Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Bear Valley Parkway, One Arrested

ESCONDIDO, CA (June 28, 2022) – Sunday evening, Anthony Lopez was fatally struck by a vehicle on Bear Valley Parkway and Grand Avenue.

On June 26th at 9:27 p.m. Lopez was walking along a crosswalk on Bear Valley Parkway when a vehicle travelling north struck him.

Police arrived at the scene and found Lopez lying on the roadway with serious injuries.

Consequently, he was taken to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, Jon Edwin Kiesel was arrested after failing to stop upon hitting Lopez and was booked into Vista Detention facility.
