43-Year-Old Suspect Arrested after Traffic Accident on East Gettysburg Avenue

FRESNO, CA (November 29, 2022) – Tuesday morning, police arrested Anthony Jeff after a police pursuit ended in a crash on North First Street. According to reports, undercover officers were surveilling 43-year-old Jeff following a crime involving violence. Police attempted to arrest Jeff after he pulled into a Sinclair gas station at North First Street and East Gettysburg Avenue to fuel a truck. However, the suspect and his female jumped into their vehicle and fled the scene. Authorities said the vehicle broke off the fuel nozzle and hit two undercover police cars. Eventually, officers managed to arrest Anthony Jeff, after he crashed into two other vehicles, near East Michigan Avenue and North Bond Street. Responding personnel transported Jeff to Community Regional Medical Center. His female passenger was also hospitalized after suffering significant injuries. Anthony Jeff is facing charges of felony evasion and assault on an officer with a deadly weapon. Thousands of people are injured each year due to reckless driving.
