Anthony Harris found himself elevated from the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad ahead of their game against the New York Giants in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. The elevation was signaling that he might be In line for some reps out there against their rivals. Unfortunately, he didn’t see much, if any snaps out there on the field in what resulted to be a 38-7 rout. His presence was greatly needed, otherwise Philadelphia wouldn’t have gone ahead and raised him up for no reason. Harris is a strong veteran leader out there in the secondary, that’s first and foremost. But having him back up any of their starters if they go down with an injury is even more valuable.

Anthony Harris doesn’t just provide for people on the football field. He currently runs his very own clothing brand Anthony Harris Apparel. ( “BEGREAT” For 10% OFF Your Order ). The logo for the brand is unique yet effective as it represents his personal brand with the letters “A” and “H”, and the merchandise that’s sold typically relates to what NFL team he is on at the time. For right now, the shop is filled with clothing in Philadelphia Eagles colors, including his tagline of “Be Great” and the number 28. His  clothing brand offers a huge cataglogue of comfortable clothing ware from hats to tank tops and fitted hoodies. Down towards the bottom of the home page of  this particular site, you’ll find other information involving the foundation that he runs and operates.

Harris has been around the NFL long enough to know what it takes to win consistently. Not to mention that he knows what it takes to win in the postseason, something that not many players can speak of. He was an excellent player with the Minnesota Vikings despite coming into the league as an undrafted free agent. He worked his way to the top and never backed down from his role. Even when he didn’t get the money he was hoping for and went to the Eagles, he knew that he could contribute straight away. Whether that be on the field or in the locker room, he just wanted to win. That’s been evident throughout most of the year. Any talented playoff team knows that they need a guy like Harris in the locker room, suited up, trying to keep all of their inexperienced players on track.

With the Eagles officially moving onto the NFC Championship to face off the winner of the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers game, we’ll continue to monitor Harris’ situation. The winner of that matchup might determine what scheme the Eagles would prefer to study throughout the week. Some sets might call for a veteran guy like Harris to get the job done, while another could call on him to remain on the sidelines for another week to help them in a different way. On top of the game plan, Harris might remain activated off the practice squad due to injuries of other members of the secondary. Avonte Maddox was ruled out against the Giants with a toe injury and was quite literally the only player with an injury designation for the contest. If Maddox can’t go, Harris being activated seems like more of a probability for time to come.

Anthony Harris is looking to win a Super Bowl with the Eagles, and he’s just one of those veterans that can do his job at a high level, no matter what it is. We’ve seen him play on special teams earlier this season If his number gets called upon for Philadelphia next weekend, there’s no reason to believe he won’t be ready.
