Virginity is a hot commodity, and one teenager in Brazil is trying to capitalize on it. Rebecca Bernardo of the small town of Sepeacu, Brazil recently posted a video to YouTube auctioning herself off to the highest bidder.

But unlike when Catarina Migliorini pulled the same move earlier this year allegedly to help impoverished children, Bernardo's plea is for a somewhat sadder reason — she's selling herself to help care for her sick mother.

Now, it's not that we don't support women who want to sell sex for money; au contraire. We think that women should be allowed to do whatever they want with their bodies, and that it should be legal, and that it should be supported in the form of health care and education and safety precautions. But we hope that Bernardo doesn't feel that she's doing something she doesn't want to do in auctioning her cherry to the world.

It would be an unfortunate way to remember your first time.
