56-Year-Old Woman Arrested after Stealing Bus near Murray Avenue

VISALIA, CA (August 18, 2022) – Monday afternoon, Annette Rocha was arrested after carjacking a bus on Court Street.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m., near the intersection of Court Street and Murray Avenue on August 15th.

According to initial reports, Rocha began hitting a passenger and stole his phone. She then jumped into the driver’s seat and drove off with the passengers still onboard.

The bus hit three vehicles before coming to a stop after running into a fence. The impact of the collisions caused the passengers to sustain minor injuries.

Eventually, police were able to arrest 56-year-old Annette Rocha. She was later booked into Tulare County jail with charges of robbery, carjacking, kidnapping, and hit-and-run.
