53-Year-Old Actress Anne Heche Seriously Hurt in Auto Collision near Appleton Way

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 18, 2022) – Late Friday morning, actress Anne Heche was injured in a solo-car accident on South Walgrove Avenue.

The incident was reported on August 5th, shortly after 11:00 a.m., at the 1700 block of South Walgrove Avenue. Dispatchers responded to the scene near Appleton Way shortly after.

Investigators say Heche was driving on a one-way street on Preston Way when she ran a stop sign at the Walgrove intersection. Afterward, she drove through multiple large privacy bushes and struck a two-story home, causing structural damage and heavy fire.

Eventually, firefighters arrived at the scene and extricated 53-year-old Heche from the burning vehicle. As a result of her injuries, medics transported her to a local hospital in critical condition.

She died at the hospital, on August 14th, after being taken off life support.

At this time, Los Angeles Officials are working to determine further circumstances surrounding the fiery solo-car crash.
