Traffic Accident near Gregg Avenue Left Two Fatalities
PICO RIVERA, CA (May 18, 2022) – Saturday morning, a car crash on Whittier Boulevard left Nathan Lizarraga and Angelica Lopez dead.
According to reports, the crash happened around 1:50 a.m., on Whittier Boulevard, east of Gregg Avenue.
Investigators said an eastbound black Mercedes sedan collided with a westbound Honda sedan. However, the details surrounding the crash remain unavailable at this time.
Due to the impact of the collision, Lopez and Lizarraga died at the scene. Meanwhile, the Honda’s passenger, described as a woman in her 60s, sustained serious injuries.
Authorities later arrested the Mercedes driver, 28-year-old Carlos Hernandez, for suspicion of murder and driving under the influence.
Booking records revealed that Hernandez remains at the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles, in lieu of a $2 million bail. An active investigation is currently underway at this time.
