48-Year-Old Woman Dead after Two-Vehicle Accident on Thomas Road

PHOENIX, AZ (March 28, 2022) – Wednesday morning, Angela Casas was killed and two were injured in a head-on collision on 50th Drive.

According to police, the crash occurred around 6:30 a.m., near the intersection of 50th Drive and Thomas Road.

Per reports, a silver SUV driven by Casas, was traveling west on Thomas Road and suddenly veered into the eastbound lanes for reasons unknown. Shortly after, the SUV collided head-on into another vehicle.

Eventually, medical crews transported Casas to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Meanwhile, paramedics also took a passenger in the SUV and the driver of the other car to a hospital with non-serious injuries.

Following preliminary investigations, police did not disclose the identities of the others involved. Authorities closed both directions of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, an active investigation into the deadly wrong-way collision continues.
