Angel Rodriguez Arrested after Fatal Collision Edinger Avenue 

SANTA ANA, CA (August 19, 2021) – Authorities arrested 26-year-old Angel Rodriguez after killing a man in a deadly DUI crash on Corta Drive.

The collision occurred just before 9:00 p.m., on August 4. Officers arrived at the intersection of Corta Drive and Edinger Avenue shortly after.

According to reports, the 26-year-old suspect was driving a white van when he turned left onto Corta Drive and collided with a gray SUV at the intersection.

Paramedics rushed the male driver of the SUV to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, medics took Angel Rodriguez to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Police later arrested him on suspicion of DUI, with a sentencing enhancement for inflicting injury.

At this time, authorities have not released to the identities of the deceased victim. However, further investigation of this accident is still ongoing.
