19-Year-Old Man Charged for DUI after High-Speed Crash near Mountain Avenue

TUCSON, AZ (June 17, 2024)Angel Gudino-Duarte was arrested early Saturday after a DUI collision on East Fort Lowell Road and North Mountain Avenue.

First responders arrived to the scene shortly after receiving dispatch calls on June 15th.

Officers say Gudino-Duarte was speeding and eventually collided with a power pole. The crash caused the vehicle to catch fire and resulted in power outages in the area.

After conducting initial investigations, officers arrested 19-year-old Gudino-Duarte for DUI and charged him with felony criminal damage. He was later booked into the Pima County Jail.

Additionally, crews reported minor injuries from the collision. Authorities have not yet provided further details about the crash, but more information will be released as it becomes available.
