One Dead after Head-On Collision near Hansen Dam Recreation Area
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 31, 2022) – Friday night, 24-year-old Andy Hernandez-Iraheta was killed in a head-on crash on Wentworth Street.
Officers responded to the scene near Hansen Dam Recreation Area around 7:07 p.m. For reasons unknown, two vehicles collided head-on in the area of 10805 Wentworth Street.
Due to the impact of the collision, first responders pronounced Hernandez-Iraheta dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, rescue personnel freed two others from the other vehicle and transported them to a hospital in critical condition. Both of their identities have not been released at this moment.
Crews closed both directions of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. Currently, Los Angeles Officials are working to identify further circumstances surrounding the crash.
Those with further information regarding the fatal accident are encouraged to contact local authorities as soon as possible. At this time, an active investigation is currently underway.
