Pedestrian Accident on Union Street Killed 30-Year-Old Andrew Zieman

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 15, 2021) – Wednesday morning, Andrew Zieman was pronounced dead after being struck by a vehicle on Union Street.

Furthermore, officers responded to the corner of Franklin and Union streets around 7:55 a.m. for a report of a collision involving two vehicles and a pedestrian.

The 30-Year old Andrew Zieman was identified as a longtime staff member at Sherman Elementary School. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Moreover, investigators said that a vehicle traveling westbound on Union Street ran a red light at the intersection, causing the collision.

Additionally police arrested the driver, 70-year-old Susan Vennarucci, on charges of running a red light and vehicular manslaughter.
